Global Communications was established in Limassol Cyprus in 1995 with the single purpose of taking advantage of the then pending Telecom Liberalization. 

Global Communications was the first to introduce coin payphones for indoor locations, maintaining 100% of the market for a period of five years.

Initially, the Company was importing complete units from the United Kingdom and at a later stage, designed and manufactured its own coin payphones, which were exported to Greece and Egypt.

Concurrently, the Company worked with Cyprus Government Tenders in the areas of High Technology, such as GPS, Differential GPS, Radars, MF/HF, VHF/UHF Transceiver Systems and Satellite Communications.

The most recent Government Contract was to assemble and manufacture Electronic Bus Ticketing/Microchip Card Machines for the Ministry of Communications and Transport.
